Cottage Toddlers Investigate Snow Indoors!

January 31, 2014 by · Leave a Comment

Since unfortunately it’s been too cold for the children to go outdoors, the Cottage Toddlers decided to bring the outdoors inside!  They filled their sensory table with some snow.  And if you’ve seen our playground, you know there is PLENTY to work with.  The children who wanted to explore the fluffy white stuff gathered at the sensory table to check it out.  After I tool the pictures, the children added water colors as an experiment to see what would happen.  Their eyes lit up as it changed to a bright blue!  Mary and Allison were able to take anecdotes on the children under the following Key Developmental Indicators:  Approaches to Learning, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Communication and Language, Cognitive Development, and Creative Arts.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate soon, so we can get the children back outside!
