Garden Toddlers Paint

March 5, 2014 by · Leave a Comment

During work time last week the Garden Toddlers worked together to paint a mural.  They used paint brushes and stamps to make their picture.  The children chose which color paint they wanted to use as well.  The teachers were able to take anecdotal notes based on the following Key Developmental Indicators:

Approaches to Learning:  Initiative and Problem Solving

Social and Emotional Development:  Relationships with peers, playing with others, and group participation

Physical Development and Health:  Moving parts of the body and moving with objects

Communication, Language, and Literature:  Listening and responding, non verbal communication, two way communication, and speaking.

Cognitive Development:  Exploring objects, exploring same and different, exploring more, and cause and effect

Creative Arts:  Exploring art materials and imitating and pretending

The finished work is located in our pod.  Make sure to check it out!
